During my recent stay at Aussen Alster, I was intrigued by the blend of luxury and value that this hotel offers. The room was comfortable and equipped with all the necessary amenities, from a coffee machine to a safe and complimentary toiletries. The king-sized bed ensured a restful sleep, and the view from the top floor room was a delightful bonus.The hotel's location, just a stone's throw away from the serene Alster lake, provided a peaceful ambiance perfect for morning jogs or leisurely strolls. The proximity to Lange Reihe meant an array of dining options within walking distance, adding to the convenience.However, while the facilities and setting were pleasing, I couldn't overlook the lackluster experience with the staff. Despite a helpful night receptionist, the overall service was cold and at times neglectful. The restaurant service was particularly disappointing, with long waits and subpar food quality tarnishing the dining experience.In terms of value for money, Aussen Alster falls short in delivering a consistently satisfactory guest experience. The serene location and well-equipped rooms are certainly appealing, but the indifferent staff attitude and inconsistent service detract from the overall luxury one would expect at this price point. For those seeking a balance between cost and quality, it may be worth exploring other options in the vicinity.
